VIRGINIA

In 2017, ACRONYM coordinated the $3 million digital ad strategy in Virginia and built a first-of-its kind voter registration tool that made it easier for hard-to-reach and young voters to register online. As a result, ACRONYM registered 1,200 nonwhite voters across the state, including dozens of Virginians whose rights had recently been restored, and led a digital ad campaign encouraging voters to show up at the polls-contributing to unprecedented voter turnout and youth engagement rates in an off-year election.

ALABAMA

In the final stretch before the 2017 special election for the United States Senate in Alabama, ACRONYM launched an aggressive digital campaign highlighting the importance of showing up at the polls on Election Day and reinforced the power of voting to effect change. After deploying creative digital ads to over 700,000 African American voters across the state, this critical voting community played a pivotal role in deciding the special election. African American turnout rates soared to levels equal to the 2012 presidential race - a groundbreaking feat in an off-year special election.
