For too long, progressives have failed to invest in building infrastructure at the state and local level. As a result, we’ve lost nearly 1000 state legislative seats across the country since 2008 and have ceded power to Republicans to draw district lines through the redistricting process. ACRONYM is filling that gap by using smart, digital investments in state legislative races that will play a critical role in redistricting efforts in 2021 and will help build a bench of future progressive leaders at the local level. We believe digital can make the difference in these races, where margins are often extremely thin and elections-or even control of entire chambers-can be decided by a few hundred or even dozens of votes.
